Fall wreath

My front door needed a fall boost so I made a burlap initial wreath until it is socially acceptable to put up Halloween decorations!

I found similar creations on Pinterest with links back to Etsy. The wreaths retail for $95!!!! Yikes. I made this one for under $20. 

Hose Holder

I am sure many of you have seen the picture and DIY instructions for a hose holder post in the gardening section of Pinterest. I thought I would give it a try this weekend and see if I could replicate it. 

Here's the picture that inspired me to try my own. 

The instructions were straightforward and I was able to make two of these in an afternoon. Paint dry time is what slowed me up the most. I was able to use some scrap wood and paint I already had on hand and got the rest of the materials at Lowes. 

Here is my finished product. 

I am really happy with the way it turned out. I chose to sink mine in concrete for stability and used a more expensive hose bracket.
